While several climate activists are in preventive detention in Munich because they want to stick themselves to the asphalt in the city center, 17 Bavarian law students are currently trying to overturn the law behind it. Their goal is to abolish the long-lasting preventive detention introduced in Bavaria in 2017. They are taking legal action against this provision of the Bavarian Police Duties Act before the highest instance in the Free State, the Constitutional Court. The Erlangen law professor Markus Krajewski, 53 years old, represents this lawsuit before the judges. At the same time, Jusos, SPD and Greens are also complaining.
