The German Weather Service (DWD) has warned of new storms up to and including Friday. The southern Bavaria is primarily affected, as a meteorologist said. As early as Wednesday afternoon there could be thunderstorms with hail and stormy gusts of up to 75 kilometers per hour in places along the Alps.
According to the forecast, thunderstorms are possible again in the afternoon on Thursday, especially in Swabia. On Friday it could be quite uncomfortable in many parts of Bavaria: According to the DWD, the storms will then spread to northern Franconia. Severe storms had already raged in Upper Bavaria on Monday, and a man died. According to the meteorologist, the new storms have the potential to be as strong as Monday’s.
