The police in Swabia wanted to place an alleged gunslinger – but he turned out to be a hunter. The police were called to a forest near Pforzen (Ostallgäu district) on Saturday because a man armed with a revolver had been seen, the police said on Sunday. Upon inspection, it turned out that he was a hunter on the hunt.
Meanwhile, the police in Lower Franconia had to move out because of a sleepy hunter – he had shot himself in the hand with a shotgun. As the Kitzingen police inspection reported on Saturday, the 68-year-old man called for help after the accident on Friday evening and was seriously injured in a hospital.
According to the police, the man said that he fell asleep on the high seat not far from Volkach and noticed the gun sinking down. A shot was fired, hitting the left hand. The police are investigating, so far there is no evidence of other parties involved.
