Bavaria state election 2023: All candidates in the constituency Munich-Hadern – Munich

In the 2018 state election, the CSU won the Munich-Hadern constituency with 28 percent. But the gap to the Greens was extremely small. The then Bavarian Europe Minister was only 1.9 percentage points ahead George Eisenreich (CSU) move into the state parliament as a direct candidate; he subsequently became Bavarian Minister of Justice.

Florian Siekmann von der Grünen, Eisenreich’s competitor for the direct mandate, got a place in the Maximilianeum via the list and became spokesman for European and queer politics for his parliamentary group. This year, Siekmann will try for the second time to get the direct mandate in the south-west of Munich. It will be exciting to see whether Eisenreich, as Munich CSU chairman, can keep the constituency for his party.

The constituency with the number 101 consists of Hadern, Sendling-Westpark and parts of Laim and Thalkirchen-Forstenried-Fürstenried-Solln. A total of around 99,000 citizens are allowed to vote. Hadern is the oldest district on average in the constituency, with an average age of 43.3 years. The electorate 60 plus accounts for almost 34.7 percent of those entitled to vote in the constituency – the highest figure in Munich.
