Bavaria: Pro-Russian motorcade in the Allgäu – Bavaria

Against the background of the Ukraine war, several hundred Russian-born immigrants and supporters took part in a pro-Russian motorcade in the Allgäu. According to a preliminary estimate by the police headquarters in South Swabia, more than 600 people with around 275 cars came to the rally on Sunday afternoon, which was officially directed against “discrimination against Russian-speaking people”. The participants drove in their cars from Kaufbeuren to Kempten and back again. The vehicles were decorated with Russian flags, many of them also with the state emblem, a double-headed eagle. The authorities had imposed conditions on the organizers: expressions of sympathy for the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine, such as displaying the letter “Z” or other symbols, were not permitted.
