A two-year-old boy almost choked on a piece of pancake in Lower Franconia – police officers rushed to help just in time. The 36-year-old mother was completely distraught when the officers arrived in Schweinfurt on Tuesday, the police said on Wednesday.

The toddler had already turned blue and was no longer breathing independently. The police removed a piece of pancake from the boy’s throat and resuscitated the two-year-old. The emergency doctor who arrived shortly thereafter confirmed that the police officers had saved the child’s life and prevented serious consequential damage, it said. The boy was taken to a hospital’s intensive care unit for further observation.

On Wednesday, the lifeguards visited the little one there and presented him with a police teddy bear. According to the doctors, according to the police, he is not expected to suffer any permanent damage and will soon be healthy again.
