Person run over by train: Police assume homicide

A train hits a person in the Upper Palatinate – with a fatal outcome. Was it an accident? The police arrest three people.
After the death of a person on railway tracks in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz, investigators are assuming a homicide, according to a police spokeswoman. There were three arrests. They wanted more information in the case Police will announce on Friday. The investigation is currently underway at the Amberg criminal police and the Nuremberg-Fürth public prosecutor’s office.
On Thursday afternoon a train ran over a person in Neumarkt. According to the police, she was lying on the tracks and may have been unconscious. The identity of the person killed had not yet been conclusively clarified as of Friday morning.
