The fire brigade extinguished the fire in an asylum accommodation in Nördlingen (Donau-Ries district). The police initially did not provide any further information about the identities of the dead man or the three people who were injured in the fire. The property was so badly damaged by the fire that it had to be demolished, a police spokesman said. The residents were initially accommodated in a hall. The district office wanted to find alternative accommodation on Sunday evening.
