The new underground committees in Bavaria’s state parliament on the costs of the Future Museum in Nuremberg and the billion-dollar disaster in the Munich S-Bahn are correct. But the opposition should not believe that they will help her win the election over Söder.

The CSU has long since made it clear what it thinks of the opposition’s pressing questions about two Free State projects that have become more and more expensive: nothing at all. In the state parliament, the CSU speaks of a “political spectacle” being staged here for the second main route for the S-Bahn in Munich. And at the Museum of the Future in Nuremberg, a CSU deputy even found a “Munich culture mafia” that doesn’t begrudge others anything. And that after the Supreme Court of Auditors had critically examined a lavish rental agreement with a private investor. Kulturmafia – is it still possible?
