A 64-year-old man accidentally cut himself in the neck with a chainsaw while gardening. Seriously injured but stable, he was taken to the hospital by rescue helicopter. The man had removed ivy from a tree in Ichenhausen (Günzburg district). When the saw blade jammed in the wood, he yanked on the saw and hit it in the neck, police said Monday. He suffered a severely bleeding wound. His wife then called the ambulance, who treated him before the helicopter arrived.
