Bavaria: Liquid cocaine found in banana box – Bavaria

The police found 15 liters of liquid cocaine in a banana box in the district of Hof. “Something like this did not exist in Bavaria until then,” says a statement from the State Criminal Police Office. That was also “something completely new” for the investigators. As early as December, the police seized the ten PET bottles with liquid cocaine.

The security company of a food wholesaler had called the officials because of a burglary. A drug sniffer dog struck the box of drugs. Investigators then x-rayed about 2,000 boxes from the same delivery from Ecuador. They found another five boxes in which smugglers had originally hidden goods but had already taken them out at the time of discovery. The liquid cocaine is now examined for its chemical composition.

Shortly before, there was another discovery of liquefied drugs in bottles in Germany. Several champagne bottles laced with high levels of liquid ecstasy have been discovered nationwide. There was a first such find in Germany about a year ago. At that time, eight people in Weiden drank together from a champagne bottle, which not only contained the noble drink, but also an extremely large amount of the liquid ecstasy active ingredient MDMA. One man died, seven guests were poisoned. A few days later there was a similar incident in the Netherlands, in which four people were poisoned.
