A woman’s new partner is said to have attacked her 37-year-old husband with a knife during an argument in the Ostallgäu district, causing life-threatening injuries. The suspect, also 37 years old, was then taken into custody, the police announced on Wednesday. The husband had shown up with a relative at the 37-year-old’s home in Lechbruck am See because of the impending separation. The two argued on his terrace on Friday evening. This is where the attack is said to have occurred. One of those involved then called the emergency number, said a police spokesman.
The injured 37-year-old was taken to a clinic in a rescue helicopter and underwent surgery. The arrest warrant against the suspect was issued by an investigating judge on Saturday. He is being investigated on suspicion of attempted murder.
