Bavaria: Fires in two hotels – Bavaria

Seven people were injured in two hotel fires in the Free State over the weekend. Among them was an infant. The cause of both fires was probably a technical defect in the respective kitchen area. A hotel in the Tatzelwurm district of Oberaudorf (Rosenheim district) caught fire on Saturday. An infant and six other people were injured by toxic smoke, a police spokesman said. Several people were taken outside with a turntable ladder during the operation. Nobody had to go to the hospital – the seven slightly injured were treated by the rescue service on site. At the other end of the Free State, a hotel in Coburg burned on Sunday night. Ten hotel guests were startled there by a fire alarm, the police said. Accordingly, the fire brigade also brought some of them outdoors with a turntable ladder. Nobody was hurt. The fire broke out due to a short circuit in a refrigerated counter. Lucky in disguise: After the deletion, those affected were allowed to stay overnight in the hotel.
