Bavaria FDP: Daniel Föst stops as FDP state chief – Bavaria

Two years before the state elections, the Bayern-FDP is planning a change at the top of the party: State chairman Daniel Föst does not want to apply for the post again after eight years at the party congress at the beginning of November. Föst announced this in Munich on Wednesday – and proposed Martin Hagen as his successor, parliamentary group leader.

Both argued that they wanted to concentrate fully on the state elections in 2023. The aim is not only to get back into the state parliament and become even stronger than in 2018, but also to participate in governing. “We want to take on government responsibility in Bavaria in 2023,” said Hagen.
