In Bavaria, victims of abuse and sexualised violence have had access to a state first point of contact since August. It is not limited to specific institutions or places of abuse and is intended to provide unbureaucratic first aid, as Social Affairs Minister Ulrike Scharf (CSU) announced on Thursday evening in Munich. Affected people would be referred to the nationwide existing help system, which also included 35 specialist advice centers for sexualized and domestic violence sponsored by welfare associations.
