A railway employee found an urn filled with ashes in a locker at Regensburg main station. The compartment had been occupied for 47 days on Monday, which is why the 48-year-old opened it, as the federal police announced on Tuesday. There he found the urn of a deceased whose dates were written on the container.
According to the information, the man died in July 2022 and was cremated in August. It was initially unclear who had put the urn in the locker. The federal police are now investigating the violation of the funeral law. Accordingly, an urn must be buried in a grave in Bavaria.
