Bavaria: ADAC expects full autobahns on Maundy Thursday and Easter Monday – Bavaria

The ADAC expects traffic jams on many motorways in Bavaria over Easter. Compared to the Corona years, travel should increase significantly again around the holidays, the automobile club announced on Monday in Munich. Heavy traffic and traffic jams are to be expected, especially on the access roads to holiday areas in the Alps. Nevertheless, the ADAC expects less traffic than at Easter 2019. The tense economic situation and the sharp rise in prices have kept many citizens from longer vacation trips, say the traffic experts.

Because a lot of people drive their cars to visit relatives, excursions and short trips, especially on Maundy Thursday, full streets can still be expected. On Easter Monday, many vacationers started their return journey.

According to ADAC forecasts, the following motorways in Bavaria are particularly affected:

  • A3: Würzburg – Nuremberg – Passau
  • A6: Heilbronn-Nuremberg
  • A7: Würzburg – Ulm – Füssen/Reutte
  • A8: Stuttgart – Munich – Salzburg
  • A9: Nuremberg – Munich
  • A93: Inntal triangle – Kufstein
  • A95/B2: Munich – Garmisch-Partenkirchen
  • A99: Bypass Munich
