Bavaria: 734,000 euros from the Kulturfonds to 70 projects – Munich

The multimedia theater and media project “The Labyrinth” on the occasion of “100 years of Hitler’s imprisonment” in Landsberg receives 7400 euros. To “exchange ideas” with the Breslauer Barockorchester, the Windsbacher Knabenchor receives 24,000 euros for a concert tour. In Zwiesel there are 3900 euros for the special exhibition “Fiasco – the bottle in art, design and cultural history”. The projects that the Free State of Bavaria is supporting in 2023 with up to 25,000 euros from its culture fund are so different.

And that’s how it should be, according to Art Minister Markus Blume: “The projects give an impressive example of how lively and creative the art landscape is throughout Bavaria,” he said when announcing the recipients. A total of 734,000 euros will go to 70 art and culture projects: 7,400 for a “literary-musical raft trip” by the Augsburg Theater Workshop, 20,000 for the special exhibition “August and Elisabeth Macke” in the Franz Marc Museum in Kochel, and Cham can get over 11,000 euros for the grandstand in the open-air theater, 6,000 for the theater and 23,400 for the expansion of the radio museum. Further funding with higher sums will be decided in April.
