Palace revolution against Jan Leyk

Jan Leyk completely loses himself in a fixed idea and takes on the Jakic twins. But there is a trash god.

To show the “new Jan”, Jan Leyk (37) started on the RTLzwei show “Kampf der Realitystars”. After a number of scandals and bullying, the former “Berlin – Day & Night” actor wanted to rehabilitate himself. This has gone well so far, despite a few downward outliers. But in episode five, halfway through the season, Jan shows his ugliest face. Or his true face, as they like to say in trash TV slang.

But first things first. First up are three new reality stars checking in. First comes Paco Herb (26). His qualification: winner of “Love Island”. His other, quite realistic self-assessment. “I am nothing, I have nothing”. Then comes Larissa Neumann (21). She introduces herself as “the likeable mouse from GNTM”. The model means above all the word sympathetic ironically. Martin Wernicke (41) was the last to serve. As a “Berlin – Day & Night” star, an old friend of Jan. The (amateur) actor makes his reality debut.

Ronald distributes money to the poorest candidates

In the punishment game, the stars have to rank themselves according to various criteria: who has the highest fee, who has renegotiated the contract most often, etc. Newcomer Paco, Yasin Mohamed (30) and Schäfer Heinrich (55) turn out to be the poorest candidates. As punishment for many misjudgments, the celebrities have to hand in their clothes and luggage. In total, they are only allowed to keep belongings weighing three kilos. Martin doesn’t want to part with a poetry book that his girlfriend gave him. Instead of a scramble, there are big statements of solidarity. For example, Jan and Yasin forgo their share of the three kilos. Big feelings everywhere.

On the “Wall of Truth” the stars have to put themselves in an order again – and compare their choice with a viewer vote. It’s about the money-hungry candidate in the perception of the audience. Of course it hits the ex-politician Ronald Schill (63). In order to cleanse his image, Ronald is allowed to distribute 3,000 euros among his roommates. In a Shakespearean monologue, the former judge distributes the money to the stars with the lowest pay. Ronald reveals later that he pocketed a third of the money himself.

The snake stinks from the head

Before the nominations, of course, tactics are used. Prince Heinz von Sayn-Wittgenstein (67) wants to smash the sworn clique around Elena Miras (29), Sissi Hofbauer (26), Jan and Yasin. He identified Elena as the leader of the group. Heinz is now promoting cutting off the “snake’s head”. Elena notices the coup plans and is of course at 180. The newcomers, especially Martin and Larissa, also have Elena on their backs.

A short scene takes place on the edge, which later becomes important: Jan apologizes to Nina Christin (39). A few episodes ago he had insulted the former It-Girl as “told” and “inauthentic” (the worst insult in the reality game). Even now, Nina bursts into tears at the memory.

Jan regrets his statement. He wants to redeem his “duty” to Nina in the safety game: Boxes that show the likeness of the respective stars have to be filled with sand. The last box that is not full is protected from a nomination. Jan gathers his followers around him and commits them to his course. Nina needs to be saved. And above all, the Jakic Twins (26) have to go. The twins, who act almost synchronously, are obviously uncanny.

Above all, Elena and Sissi participate uncritically in Jan’s action. Shepherd Heinrich, whom Jan took under his wing from day one, refuses. Despite harsh instructions from Jan, he sticks to his tactic of evenly covering the competitors with sand.

Ilona and Suzana Jakic rightly defend themselves against the unfair tactics. But too late. Jan’s plan works. Nina Christin is happy about her safety. Like Jan, Elena and Sissi, she doesn’t cover herself with fame either. Loud arguments break out between Jan and the Jakic twins. Jan makes fun of them and denies them any ability to discuss. No other candidate intervenes.

Palace Revolution against Jan

But there is a trash TV god. Almost all reality stars turn against Jan in the nomination round. Even Ronald discovers the moralist in himself. Even Jan’s old buddies Yasin and Heinrich rebel against him. Jan had taken the shepherd aside shortly before and urged him to show more backbone. That’s what Heinrich does now: to Jan’s disadvantage. The reality star, who is neither stupid nor unsympathetic, has completely lost his way and gets the receipt – Jan has to go. He looks sporty. At least he apologizes to the twins.

Now the newcomers have to decide. Usually their vote is held before the ostracism. But since the creators were probably hoping for a revolution against Jan, they changed the order this time. Larissa and Martin (Paco taking her out) announce a surprising choice. And indeed: nobody would have expected Sissi. Martin openly admits that he wanted to rob Elena of her most important person with this action. But why he and Larissa didn’t directly choose the head of the snake, Elena, remains their secret.

So Team Elena is successfully smashed. for now. Because the off-speaker once again hints that the eliminated could return …
