Bathing accident in the Isar: police recover corpse from the Danube – Bavaria

Two days after a swimming accident in the Isar, firefighters recovered the body of the missing young man from the Danube. As the police announced on Friday, the 21-year-old was found floating lifeless in the Danube near Vilshofen (Passau district). A boat driver discovered the body in the evening. Police and prosecutors assumed that the man had drowned.

On Tuesday, the man rushed to help his girlfriend, who got into trouble with an air mattress while bathing near Plattling (Deggendorf district), and then aborted himself. The search for the man was initially unsuccessful.
