The Bucks achieved their fourth win in a row in the NBA thanks to Giannis Antetokounmpo. Things aren’t going so well for Stephen Curry’s Golden State.

The Greek basketball star Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Milwaukee Bucks to a home win over the Dallas Mavericks with 40 points.

The Bucks achieved their fourth win in a row in the North American NBA league with a score of 132:125 (60:68). It was Antetokounmpo’s second-highest points total this season; he also recorded 15 rebounds and 7 assists.

The Bucks went into the final quarter with a nine-point deficit and turned the game around thanks to 43 points. Antetokounmpo scored 15 points in the final period alone and hit each of his six throws from the field. Antetokounmpo, who was twice named the league’s most valuable player, received support from Damian Lillard, who scored ten of his 27 points in the fourth quarter.

For the Mavs, the star duo Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving scored the most points with 35 and 39 points respectively. German international Maxi Kleber missed the fifth game in a row with a toe injury.

Saturday was successful for another German NBA player: Isaiah Hartenstein and the New York Knicks defeated the Charlotte Hornets 122:108 (61:50). In their third road win in a row, the Knicks were never behind. Hartenstein scored four points and seven rebounds.

Golden State’s negative streak continues

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors suffered their sixth defeat in a row, with the 2022 champions having to admit defeat at home to the Oklahoma City Thunder with 123:130 (61:51) after overtime.

Even superstar Stephen Curry couldn’t change that with 25 points after recovering from a knee injury. For the Thunder, league newcomer Chet Holmgren became the top scorer with 36 points, and Holmgren saved his team into overtime with a three-pointer. With their ninth win in their 13th game of the season, the Thunder remain one of the positive surprises of the NBA season.
