Base, the new Ethereum Layer 2 developed by Coinbase, combines Chainlink with the testnet network to provide secure Off-Chain Price Feeds to decentralized app developers.
This development is especially important to Base, as the network aims to provide developers with a secure way to integrate off-network resources into decentralized applications. It positions itself as a competitive Layer 2 solution in the Ethereum ecosystem.
The Base team said it has joined the Chainlink Scale program, which aims to bring Oracle data to developers. As part of the “Chainlink Scale” program, under this program, Base partially supports the cost of running Chainlink services on the network and reduces Chainlink node gas costs when submitting oracle reports on Base.
