Barn fire near Markt Indersdorf causes 100,000 euros in damage – Dachau

For reasons that are not yet known, an agricultural barn near Markt Indersdorf caught fire on Friday afternoon. The criminal police are investigating. At around 3:25 p.m., the rescue workers were informed that the building in the Tiefenlachen district was already ablaze. Both the barn itself and the straw stored there were completely destroyed by the fire, according to the police headquarters in Upper Bavaria North. The deployed firefighters managed to quickly extinguish a conflagration that had developed due to the heat radiation. However, three agricultural trailers parked near the hall were damaged, some of them severely.

The extinguishing work was supported by a police helicopter, whose on-board thermal camera could detect hot spots and report them to the forces on the ground. Nobody was injured in the fire, the amount of damage is around 100,000 euros according to an initial estimate. The Fürstenfeldbruck criminal police took over the investigation into the previously unclear cause of the fire on Friday evening.
