A golden pineapple in the expert room of “Bares for Rares” is the trigger for a quarrel between Horst Lichter and Sven Deutschmanek – which, however, leads to a declaration of love from the moderator. In the end, the sellers can also be satisfied.

When Horst Lichter enters the expert room at “Bares for Rares”, Sven Deutschmanek is bending over a golden tropical fruit: “Oh, pineapple, that’s very healthy. I eat almost half a pine every morning,” the moderator exclaims happily. Deutschmanek doesn’t quite want to believe that. Lichter asks him to ask his wife: “Call Nada.”

Deutschmanek doesn’t need to be told twice: “I’ll do it right away,” says the expert, “as soon as we’re through here, I’ll call Nada.” When Deutschmanek says yes, Lichter ends the little squabbling: “You’re so stupid. God I love you.”

“Bares for Rares”: The expertise is below the desired price

Then the owners of the golden pineapple enter the room, Katharina v. Egloffstein and Michael Christman. It is an ice cube tray that the couple from Karlovy Vary received as a gift. Since it doesn’t fit into their apartment, they prefer to sell it. The object was designed by Mauro Manetti and manufactured in Italy in the 1970s, as the expert reveals.

The couple would like 350 euros for the cooling container, but Sven Deutschmanek only considers a range of 250 to 300 euros to be realistic. But the two would still sell, and so it goes to the dealer room.

Julian Schmitz-Avila finds the pineapple “funny, bizarre” and starts with 150 euros. All those present bid, the price doubles, Esther Ollick finally gets the bid for 300 euros. This means that the upper end of the estimated value has been reached. “All in all, it was a very successful day,” says saleswoman Katharina v. Egloffstein.
