Barely finished, the Trans Musicales must already be planning

For all those who have wandered the halls of the Parc-Expo until the early hours, it is now time to rest. This observation is valid for all Trans Musicales festival-goers, but also for the entire team who worked there. For five days, the event made Rennes the French capital of music and discovery. With an unchanged recipe concocted by the genius Jean-Louis Brossard and his team, the festival was able to attract 52,000 festival-goers over five days, including 32,000 to the Parc-Expo alone. A great success especially when we know that most of the public did not know any group before setting foot there. “It was a great edition where everything went well,” says Gwenola Le Bris, general secretary of the festival, with relief.

For this 45th edition, we will note the immense success of the free concerts organized at Liberté, which generated such enthusiasm that a long queue formed outside on Saturday. We sometimes saw certain halls of the Parc-Expo sold out during this weekend, notably on the rock stage in hall 3 during the brilliant Diskopunk concert on Friday evening. Certainly one of the revelations of this edition. In a purely subjective ranking, we can also congratulate local groups like Hanry, a sextet from Rennes who delighted all fans of post-rock, or even the Vannes of Our Lights who overthrew part of Liberté when it was not It was only 4 p.m.

Towards a closure of hall 9?

Other good news: the queue for the toilets suggests a very good urine collection, the results of which are not yet known. Remember that these effluvia will be recovered to be used as fertilizer.

The Trans organizers have also announced that the festival will be held from December 4 to 8, 2024. There is doubt as to the location of the future edition. Indeed, work is announced in the Musikhall (also called Hall 9) which could disrupt the organization of concerts used throughout the year. “At this time, we do not yet know if the work will have started. The question arises for us, but also for all those who have planned events there,” explains Gwenola Le Bris. The keys are in the hands of Rennes Métropole and Citedia, which operates the room.
