Recipe for a quick pink pasta with only five ingredients

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in plenty of salted water.
  2. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of the cooking water.
  3. Drain the beetroot. Peel garlic. Finely slice a beetroot ball. Place the remaining balls in a blender along with the feta, garlic cloves and yeast flakes and puree into a creamy sauce. Taste the sauce with salt and pepper.
  4. Mix the pasta with the pink sauce in a saucepan.
  5. Arrange on plates, garnish with the shaved beetroot slices, extra yeast flakes and optional pieces of feta and serve.
  6. Tastes warm and cold.
