2 servings Working time: 20 min. / Baking / cooking time: 30 min. / Level of difficulty: simple

Ingredients:

For the apples:

  • 2 tart apples (Boskoop, Gravensteiner or Cox Orange)
  • 50g trail mix
  • 5 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 Snickers
  • 10g marzipan

For the vanilla sauce:

  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 tbsp starch
  • 300 ml of milk
  • 1 vanilla pod

Preparation:
Cut open the lid and scoop out the apples. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees circulating air. Finely chop trail mix, honey, milk and Snickers in a blender. Pour the mixture into the apples and garnish with marzipan flakes on top. Now put the apples in the oven for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, you get to work on the vanilla sauce. To do this: Mix the egg yolks, sugar, vanilla sugar and starch in a saucepan until smooth. Then pull the pulp out of the pod and put both (pulp and pod) in the pot. Now beat on a low flame until the sauce thickens. Caution: the mass must not boil! Finally remove the pod again. As soon as the apples look slightly brownish, crispy on the outside, take them out of the oven. Arrange on a plate with vanilla sauce and consume with pleasure. Enjoy your meal!
