The German “double boom” echoes through the rest of Europe – like two slaps, right and left. Germany can afford to put up a €200 billion defense shield to stabilize its economy and support its citizens. Other countries cannot do this – and yet their companies have to compete in the European internal market with those who are lucky enough to have their headquarters in Germany.
