Baierbrunn: Discussion about the development of the school meadow – district of Munich

It’s a hot topic in Baierbrunn: Shortly before the turn of the year, the municipal council decided in a special session to initiate the preparation of a development plan for the area on Hermann-Roth-Straße east of the elementary school. Explosive: The application had just been rejected and the area has so far been designated as a landscape conservation area. The Baierbrunner local group in the Bund Naturschutz is now inviting you to an information event on this Friday, January 27th, about the nature conservation-related effects of building in the area. The venue is the Sports and Citizens’ Center, the public event entitled “It’s just a meadow, isn’t it?” begins at 7:30 p.m.

It’s not just about saving the affected landscape conservation area, says Stefan Zenz, the chairman of the local group, but above all about overarching questions: “How do we Baierbrunners want to be governed, what should the preservation of the home look like today and what should the village look like , in which we live, not only in the village center but also on the outskirts?” The former Mayor of Baierbrunn, Wolfgang Jirschik (ÜWG), will moderate the event. The ornithologist and nature conservationist Manfred Siering and Erich Rühmer, long-time chairman of the Isar Valley Association, have confirmed as speakers.
