Moto2: the GP of Thailand definitively interrupted due to the rain

Rain caused the Moto2 Grand Prix of Thailand to stop on Sunday, won by Italian Tony Arbolino who completed only eight of the 24 laps originally scheduled. Before the start of the race, taken 13 minutes late, race management had decided to reduce the distance by a third, from 24 to 16 laps.

But the slippery track, which caused several falls, including that of Thai poleman Somkiat Chantra, led him to wave the red flag, synonymous with a return to the pits for the drivers. While hoping to resume the race in a tight format of five laps, the organization finally gave up, in the face of the rain which redoubled in intensity.
