Badminton European champions Mark Lamsfuss and Isabel Lohau are in the semi-finals of the World Cup in Tokyo and have thus ensured Germany’s greatest World Cup success to date.

The German mixed seeded in ninth place prevailed against Tang Chun Man and Tse Ying Suet from Hong Kong with 21:13, 13:21, 21:19. The duo had already thrown the Thai title holders out of the tournament in the round of 16. The Germans had lost three times against their opponents in the quarterfinals, including at the 2021 Olympic Games and last year’s World Cup. The semifinals take place on Saturday.
