A 34-year-old attacks a four-year-old girl in Wangen im Allgäu with a knife. The man is arrested. But many questions are still open.
A four-year-old girl is in a supermarket Baden-Württemberg was attacked with a knife and seriously injured. The suspected perpetrator, a 34-year-old man, was arrested on Wednesday afternoon, the police said. His motive and the exact course of the crime in Wangen im Allgäu are still unclear.
The child was taken to a clinic and operated on there, the police announced that night. It is currently in a stable condition.
According to the information, a witness in the supermarket noticed what was happening, took the knife from the attacker and called the police. The man was later arrested without resistance. It was also initially unclear whether he knew the child.
