A 41-year-old is suspected of having killed his ex-wife in an apartment in Bad Windsheim in Central Franconia. The man reported to the police in the early afternoon and said something bad had happened, a police spokesman said on Sunday.
In the apartment, the police then found the lifeless 33-year-old and her ex-husband, who was arrested. The police spokesman did not initially provide any further information on the crime and the motive. Criminal specialists and homicide investigators were still busy securing evidence in the apartment on Sunday evening.
According to the spokesman, numerous onlookers gathered in front of the house in Bad Windsheim (Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim district). The police had to cordon off the area because the atmosphere was heating up. One person was taken into custody in connection with this.
