Bad Tölz: sewer rehabilitation – without digging – Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen

Building, maintaining and, if necessary, rehabilitating a public sewage system is a mandatory task for municipalities. An examination of the sewer network on Am Lettenholz and General-Patton-Strasse last year showed that repairs are needed here. The city of Bad Tölz has now announced that a special company has been commissioned to repair the damaged areas in the sewer network to the west and east of the B 13. And with a special feature: it is rehabilitated without digging. “For this purpose, a so-called hose liner is used over 38 shafts,” explains the city. This is a hose made of synthetic fiber felt or textile glass fiber soaked in resin, which corresponds in length and diameter to the old pipe. This hardens on the spot using UV light and thus covers the damaged area as a “pipe within a pipe”. According to press spokeswoman Birte Otterbach, the preparatory work will begin this week. The renovation is expected to be completed by the end of October. “As a result of the moving construction site, there will always be traffic disruptions for local residents during this time,” says the press release. Around 400,000 euros have been budgeted for the entire measure in 2022.
