The first trailer for “Bad Boys 4” starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence reveals the official title and story details.

The “Bad Boys” Will Smith (55) and Martin Lawrence (58) are back. The first Trailer for the fourth part of the Buddy Cop series promises what you would expect from it: action, humor and colorful Miami images that look like they come from the video game “GTA”. It seems like it’s still 1995 when the first part came out. Or at least in 2003 when the sequel came out. The stars hardly seem to have aged.

But the trailer reveals something new – the official title. “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” is the name of Part 4. Ride or die. A detailed scene in the teaser demonstrates what this means. Detective Marcus Burnett (Lawrence) gets sick from colleague Mike Lowrey’s (Smith) driving style. Marcus wants to get a ginger ale in a corner shop. There he witnesses a robbery. But the gangster doesn’t stop him from arguing with Mike.

This is what the trailer reveals about the story of “Bad Boys: Ride or Die”

The trailer for “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” provides clues to the story. The cops see on the news that Captain Howard, who was murdered in the third part, is accused of corruption. Mike and Marcus are sure: their former boss was framed. In a message recorded before his death, Howard asks his bad boys to clear his name. Among other things, there is a spectacular fight on board an airplane.

All that was known about the story so far was this uninformative synopsis: “This summer, the world’s most popular bad boys return with their now iconic mix of breathtaking action and outrageous humor. But this time something is different: This time the best boys are Miami has to offer, on the run”.

Like the third part from 2020, “Bad Boys 4” is directed by the Belgian duo Bilall Fallah (38) and Adil El Arbi (35). Incidentally, it is the first major film for star Will Smith since he slapped Chris Rock (59) at the Oscars in early 2022.
