A first trailer gives an insight into the fourth season of “Babylon Berlin” and the new challenges of Ritter and Rath.

The fourth season of “Babylon Berlin” is coming. Now tells about the plot of the twelve new episodes a first trailer.

The main protagonists Charlotte Ritter (Liv Lisa Fries, 31) and Gereon Rath (Volker Bruch, 42) seem to lose trust in each other. “I don’t recognize you anymore, you died for me Mr. Rath,” Ritter smashes at him at one point.

Rath between all fronts

The rift could be related to the fact that Rath can be seen several times in the uniform of the National Socialist SA. Elsewhere he is investigating a new murder against a gangster who has the entire underworld of Berlin on his side. Finally, a gang war breaks out in the city, which then sinks “in bloodlust”, as the newspapers announce.

According to a press release, Rath is “between all fronts” when it comes to events. Meanwhile, alongside her sister Toni, Ritter gets on the trail of a secret vigilante organization called the “White Hand”.

Welcome to the thirties

As already known, Volker Kutscher’s novel “Goldstein” will be adapted in the fourth season, the events begin two years after the end of the third season. The series also leaves the twenties behind.

In addition to the main actors, Benno Fürmann (50), Lars Eidinger (46) and Hannah Herzsprung (40) can also be seen as actors. But there are also new faces: Max Raabe (59), Mark Ivanier (53) and Barbara Philipp (56).

The fourth season of the successful series will run on Sky from October 8th, and the new episodes will only be broadcast on the first one next year.
