The municipality of Aying has taken the first step towards founding a wind energy company together with the municipalities of Sauerlach and Otterfing (Miesbach district). On Tuesday, the majority of the local council voted in favor of setting up a “Windenergie Hofoldinger Forst GmbH” and making a capital contribution of 10,000 euros. It is a matter of form that Sauerlach and Otterfing will also join the company. Sauerlach’s mayor Barbara Bogner (UBV) announced a decision at the municipal council meeting on November 16. The seat of the company should also be in their community. Aying wants to advance the planning, said city hall chief Peter Wagner (CSU). The establishment of a company is, however, dependent on a second wind yield report and the profitability review being positive. Wagner dispelled concerns in the local council that companies could get access to the wind turbines and that it should become a citizens’ project, he said. The decision was against the votes of Georg Fritzmeier (party-independent voter community Helfendorf) and the Ayinger Bräu Franz Inselkammer (CSU), who spoke of a massive cut in the landscape.
