Aying – police confiscate chewing tobacco – district of Munich

Investigators from the Munich traffic police seized almost 300 kilograms of chewing tobacco on a motorway parking lot near Aying last Tuesday. As the police announced on Sunday, the officers checked an Italian van. The 66-year-old driver stated that he had only loaded vegetables. Because he could not produce a waybill, the vehicle was searched. Several sacks of Pakistani tobacco products were discovered that are not allowed to be sold in Germany. The chewing tobacco was seized and the Pakistani driver was allowed to continue after paying a security deposit.
