The police have probably caught the burglar who stole something from a sports center in Aying on September 1st. The man was noticed during a traffic stop. In the end, the smartphone that was stolen in Aying and whose individual number (IMEI) was stored in the police computer caught him. An arrest warrant was issued against the 23-year-old without a place of residence. During the burglary a good two weeks ago, the perpetrator had violently gained access to the sports restaurant through a window. He searched the rooms, took the smartphone, groceries and a cash box. In the hallway he tried in vain to break open a cigarette machine. He smashed open the club office door and failed to open a locked cupboard. He then levered open the cash box on the club premises and left it there. When the 23-year-old came under a vehicle check at around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Pentling service area on the A93, the officers found the smartphone with a known IMEI number. They then discovered other items from the burglary.
