A rumor is sweeping through France, wild and loud, and it looks like it has the makings of a medium-sized state affair. At least for the extreme right. The rumor goes like this: Emmanuel Macron, President of the Republic, is said to have asked the French singer and rapper Aya Nakamura, a phenomenally and planetary successful artist, 28 years old, whether they would sing at the opening ceremony of the Summer Olympic Games on July 26th in Paris would – something by Édith Piaf.
