The Jupiter Award is given in 13 categories. This time the actors from “Beautiful”, “Kleo” and “Guglhupfgeschwader” convince with brilliant acting performances.

The actors Emilia Schüle, Jella Haase, Sebastian Bezzel and Tim Oliver Schultz are among the winners of the Jupiter Awards this year. The audience prize of the magazines “TV Spielfilm” and “Cinema” was awarded on Thursday evening in Hamburg; already for the 45th time.

Schüle was awarded the golden Jupiter for her performance in the film “Wonderful” as the best actress in a cinema film, as the media group Hubert Burda Media announced. In addition, Jella Haase convinced the audience with “Kleo” as the best actress in a TV and streaming production.

For the men, the readers of the magazines voted Bezzel with “Guglhupfgeschwader” as the best actor in a movie and Schultz for his role in “Damaged Goods” as the best actor in a TV and streaming production.

From the audience’s point of view, the best national feature film is the film “Der Nachname” by Sönke Wortmann. Wortmann was able to take the golden Jupiter home with him for the third time. With a view to the international cinema stage, readers voted Brad Pitt for his role in “Bullet Train” as best actor and “Avatar 2” as best feature film.

The special prize of the jury went to the team of the film “Mittagsstunden”. The film adaptation of Dörte Hansen’s bestselling novel with Charly Hübner was “an absolute stroke of luck,” it said in justification. Producer and director Lars Jessen could not have filmed the moving novel better.

The Jupiter Award for outstanding film productions and outstanding acting was presented in 13 categories. Around 100 invited guests attended the prizewinners’ dinner, including Til Schweiger, Johanna Christine Gehlen, Sophie Passmann and Charly Hübner. The evening was moderated by Steven Gätjen.
