Willem Dafoe reveals his Hollywood star

Fans of Hollywood star Willem Dafoe can now visit his new star on the “Walk of Fame”. The actor brought many friends with him to the inauguration of the plaque – including a German.

Huge crowd on Hollywood’s “Walk of Fame”: Actor in front of cheering fans Willem Dafoe unveils his star on the famous sidewalk. In a flash of photographers’ flashlights, the 68-year-old beamed down on the plaque and kissed the star.

As a child in a small town in Wisconsin, he could never have imagined such an honor, the actor said. Dafoe enthused about his job that he simply loves being part of the film community, telling stories and connecting people.

Just the day before, Dafoe celebrated the Golden Globes. He was nominated for a supporting role Globe for his role as a megalomaniacal scientist in the bizarre fairy tale “Poor Things”.

Director Wim Wenders is there

Dafoe brought numerous friends and colleagues to the “Walk of Fame” celebration, including Patricia Arquette, Mark Ruffalo, Pedro Pascal, Guillermo del Toro and German director Wim Wenders. Dafoe said in his speech that he considers himself lucky to know Wenders. His films had a huge influence on his life. Wenders had Dafoe in 1993 for his feature film “Far away, so close!” brought in front of the camera.

Dafoe also posed on the star plaque with his wife, Italian filmmaker Giada Colagrande. The actor said she taught him to be grateful.

Dafoe has made more than a hundred films, including Platoon, Van Gogh and Spider-Man. Most recently he appeared in films such as “Nightmare Alley”, “Inside”, “Asteroid City” and “Poor Things”.
