The district of Upper Bavaria has honored several municipalities that are particularly committed to protecting bees – and the district of Ebersberg also appears in the ranking. Behind Grassau in the Traunstein district and Puchheim in the Fürstenfeldbruck district, the district town of Ebersberg landed in third place. This is endowed with 1000 euros. Ebersberg scored points with its Forest and Environment Museum, in which teaching boards and a year-round display bee box illuminate the life of wild and honey bees, as it is called in the Upper Bavaria district. Poing and Markt Schwaben from the Ebersberg district are among the 43 municipalities awarded.
