Auxerre wins against Angers in the last minutes and becomes leader of Ligue 2 again

Thanks to a penalty converted by Jubal (90th), Auxerre won in the last minutes against an Angers team which was unable to take the advantage in numerical superiority this Saturday (1-0). Christophe Pelissier’s men are back in front of the Angevins and are the new leaders of Ligue 2, with one point in advance.

The two yellow cards received by Elisha Owusu, after, first, an anti-play fault (33rd) then a contact with too much commitment (36th), synonymous with expulsion, could have cost Auxerre dearly.

But the best attack in Ligue 2 (47 goals) continued to push and even created a few big chances (49th, 55th, 57th). At the end of the match (87th), Auxerre goalkeeper Donovan Léon, author of an exceptional save, also allowed his team to keep the score goalless. It was finally at the edge of stoppage time, on a penalty caused by Lassine Sinayoko and transformed by Jubal, that Auxerre carried out the beautiful operation.
