“Autumn of Pleasure” in the Gamsstadt: Kitzbühel invites you to go on a culinary tour of discovery, tradition meets international gourmet cuisine.

Traditional home cooking meets haute cuisine: Kitzbühel attracts visitors in the “autumn of enjoyment” with a variety of culinary highlights, ranging from traditional local dishes to international gourmet cuisine. Whether in the huts on the mountain or in the inns in the valley – down-to-earth, regional food with that special something is available everywhere.

The fourth edition of the Kitz Kulinarik event format started at the beginning of September. On September 1st and 2nd, a diverse range of 35 authentic regional and seasonal dishes were presented in around 20 gourmet stations in Kitzbühel’s city center.

Exciting mix: Kitz cuisine x Piedmont

The next highlight will follow in mid-October. The Kitz Kulinarik x Piedmont event will take place from October 12th to 15th, 2023. In city Park Kitzbühel’s regional specialties then meet selected products from the Piedmont region. New taste experiences are created by combining Kitzbühel delicacies with the aromas of white truffle, hazelnuts and Tajarin from Alba.

The menu includes highlights from the Kitzbühel organic egg with spinach and white Alba truffle foam to tagliolini with freshly grated Alba truffle to veal ragout with truffle mousseline and braised osso bucco with root vegetables and truffled celery puree. Dishes such as risotto in Kinara, gnocchi di patate and antipasti plates are also offered at the stands in the city park. The event will be accompanied musically on Friday and Saturday with live music by Elisa Paladin and the Sugar Notes as well as the Italian DJ and music producer RINO(IO)DJ.

Helpful: the Kitzbühel Gourmet Guide

To help you find your way between all of Kitzbühel’s offerings, Kitzbühel Tourism offers a “Gourmet Guide”. A total of 21 companies and their selected delicacies are presented, ranging from Westendorf goat cheese with oxalis and grape mustard to pink fried venison medallions wrapped in bacon to Kaiserschmarrn with fresh cranberries.

Breakfast on the mountain promises a special experience, for example on the Kitzbüheler Horn in the Berggasthof Adlerhütte or on the famous Seidlalm. The “Culinary High-Altitude Hike”, a three-course tour through the southern mountains, also combines impressive panoramas with culinary delights.

Speaking of panoramas: Autumn in particular attracts many hiking fans to Kitzbühel. The average temperature is between 15 and 17 degrees and nature is at its most beautiful amidst the 1,000 kilometers of marked hiking trails.
