Auto supplier – Hella cuts annual forecast – economy

Delivery bottlenecks continue to cause problems at the Westphalian auto supplier Hella. As a result, the Group has again lowered its sales and earnings forecast for the current financial year, as Hella announced on the basis of preliminary quarterly figures. In the second quarter of the business year, the lack of parts, for example in the case of semiconductors, put pressure on business. According to preliminary figures, sales adjusted for currency and portfolio effects fell by around 13 percent to around 1.5 billion euros. Hella now expects currency- and portfolio-adjusted sales of EUR 5.9 billion to EUR 6.2 billion (previously: EUR 6.0 billion to 6.5 billion) for the financial year (to the end of May). For the same reasons, Hella cut its annual forecast at the end of September. The automotive supplier is in the middle of a takeover process. The French competitor Faurecia had received 60 percent of the shares from the owner families Hueck and Röpke and made the remaining shareholders an offer to buy.
