The number of missions for mountain rescuers in the Alpine region has been increasing for years – and people are increasingly being rescued out of sheer convenience. Hermann Spiegl has been working for mountain rescue in Austria for 45 years, took over the job of regional manager for the Tyrol mountain rescue in 2015 – and has had an amazing season.
