It almost sounds like a miracle. Your car is pierced by a tree trunk lying on the ground. But the driver only suffers minor injuries.

This is what happens in a traffic accident in Austria A driver’s car was impaled from a tree. However, the 27-year-old woman survived and was able to free herself from her vehicle, the police announced on Tuesday. The woman had gotten off the road in a forest near Weilbach in Upper Austria the evening before.

The vehicle crashed into a tree trunk that had fallen in a storm. Photos from the scene of the accident near the border with Bavaria showed the vehicle completely destroyed, with the trunk several meters long sticking out of the windshield and passenger door.

The driver was taken to hospital with injuries. A police spokeswoman told the German Press Agency that her life was not in danger. The 27-year-old was “responsive and composed” the day after the serious accident, the spokeswoman added.
