Australian Open – Rafael Nadal qualified for the final by beating Matteo Berrettini, 6-3, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3.

Rafael Nadal was the announced favorite of this semi-final against Mattéo Berrettini, he did not miss his appointment. Only beaten by Jo-Wilfried Tsonga at this stage of the competition in the Australian Open, the Majorcan won in four sets with authority (6-3, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3), Friday, and now awaits his opponent, Daniil Medvedev or Stefanos Tsitsipas, to play a twenty-ninth Grand Slam tournament final in his career.

Imperturbable in the first two sets, the Spaniard bowed slightly in the third round before speaking about his experience. Like Novak Djokovic at the 2021 US Open, Nadal is now just one game away from winning his 21st Grand Slam tournament.
