El Salvador, which was the first country to legalize Bitcoin (BTC), has been overtaken by Australia as the world’s fourth largest crypto ATM installer by 2023.
Spain has become the third largest crypto ATM hub after installing 226 machines at the time of writing, while El Salvador’s position as fourth was eventually surpassed by Australia.
In the last three months of 2022, Australia has installed 99 Crypto ATMs, according toconfirmData from CoinATMRadar, as of January 1, 2023, Australia has 219 active crypto ATMs, 7 more than El Salvador.
Australia accounts for 0.6% of global crypto ATM installations, with the total number of crypto ATMs globally standing at 38,602 with a total of 6,071 installed in 2022 alone.
